Cooking Time: 13 minutes
Servings: 3
Required Ingredients
1. Around 250-300 grams of okras (ladies finger)
2. ½ tablespoon of cumin seeds
3. 4 tablespoon of mustard oil
4. 1 tablespoon of Nigella seeds
5. 1 tablespoon of methi and fennel seeds
6. 2 tomatoes
7. 2 onions
8. 2 tablespoon of coriander and red chilli powder
9. 3-4 tablespoon of whipped yoghurt
10. 1 tablespoon of coriander leaves
11. 1-inch ginger (piece)
12. Salt (taste-wise)
Method of Cooking
Start the cooking procedure by heating three tablespoons of oil on a non-sticking pan for five minutes. Once you see that a little bit of smoke is coming out of the same, pour the okras in it and fry it for 10 minutes. Take out the ladies finger after a while.
Now, add the available oil in the mixture and include the seeds one by one and sauté them on medium heat. After 2-3 minutes, you will need to put in the paste of ginger and onion. Steer the mixture for around 30 seconds.
Start slicing up the tomatoes and add them on the frying pan. Now, you will need to increase the heat up a little bit while stirring every now and then. Once a subtle aroma starts emitting from the pan, be sure to lower the flame quickly.
After that, you will need to add the curd mixture in it and mix everything as thoroughly as possible. Now, add the fried ladies finger in the pan and heat it up in a medium temperature. Lastly, add a pinch of salt in it and cook the item for around three minutes before taking it out of the pan.
Serve it with either paratha or rotis.
