Farsi puri with purti vanaspati

Farsi Puri is a crispy, savory snack made with rice flour and mild spices, perfect for tea-time or festive munching. Easy to prepare and long-lasting, these crunchy puris can be stored for up to 10–12 days. Enjoy them with pickle or chutney for a delicious, anytime snack loved by all.

Farsi puris are very easy to make. It will be very tasty with tea, or with achaar or chutney. Can be store for at least 10-12 days.

INGREDIENTS

1) 6/2 cups rice flour (chawal ka atta)
2) 1/2 tsp crushed freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch).
3) 1 tbsp Purti Vanaspati.
4) Salt to taste.
5) Water for atta.

Preparation

1) Take a deep wide bowl, combine all the ingredients using enough of water to make a smooth dough
2) Divide the dough in to 20 equal balls.
3) Roll out the dough into thin small round, using little flour for rolling.
4) Heat the Purti Vanaspati in kadhai and deep-fry the puris.
5) Place all the puris on the absorbant paper to remove excess oil.
6) Cool it and store in air-tight container.
