Born in Kolkata, Mr. Kishor Agarwal spent part of his early childhood in Rajasthan before returning to Kolkata at the age of 13 with his grandfather, where his business journey began.

At 16, he entered entrepreneurship by trading in pulses while operating an Aata Chakki. Over time, he expanded into trading sesame and mustard seeds, strengthening his engagement with the agricultural ecosystem.

Nearly 30–35 years ago, he introduced an early form of farmer partnership by providing advance support for better crop inputs. He often ensured farmers received slightly higher prices—about 50 paise to ₹1 above market rates—helping build trust and long-term relationships.

As the business grew, it expanded into oil meal production and later developed into one of the prominent sesame oil manufacturing operations in West Bengal, followed by diversification into oil refining, vanaspati manufacturing, and real estate. With the entry of his brothers into the business, responsibilities were gradually aligned with each individual’s strengths and interests, creating a collaborative family-led structure while he continued to guide financial discipline and key sales and procurement operations.

This approach enabled the group to grow steadily while maintaining strong operational foundations.
