1984 — Foundation & Seed Trading
Purti Vanaspati Pvt. Ltd. was established in Kolkata, West Bengal. Beginning as an agricultural seed & pulse trading venture, the group established trust with local farmers and built the groundwork for vegetable oil processing.
1998 — Plant Commissioning at Hooghly
Commissioned state-of-the-art oil refining & manufacturing facility at Village Kalachhara, Chanditala, Hooghly, West Bengal. Installed automated refining units for Vanaspati and Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil with 500+ MT/day processing capabilities.
2010 — Nationwide Distribution (500+ Dealers)
Expanded distribution network across 20+ Indian states and Union Territories, onboarding over 500+ primary distributors and serving 10,000+ retail and commercial outlets.
2018 — National Quality & Food Safety Accreditations
Achieved ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Certification, FSSAI License No. 10012031000110, and Fortified Sampoorna Poshan seals across Sunflower, Soyalite, and Rice Bran oil lines.

Mr. Kishor Kumar Agarwal
Born in Kolkata, Mr. Kishor Kumar Agarwal spent part of his early childhood in Rajasthan before returning to Kolkata at age 13 with his grandfather, where his entrepreneurial journey began. At 16, he started trading in pulses while operating an Aata Chakki, later expanding into trading sesame and mustard seeds.
Over 30–35 years ago, he pioneered an early form of direct farmer partnership by providing advance financial support for crop inputs and ensuring farmers received 50 paise to ₹1 above market rates, cementing long-term trust and community relationships.
Over his 28+ years as Chairman & Managing Director of Purti Vanaspati Pvt. Ltd., he expanded the business into oil meal production, sesame oil manufacturing, multi-oil refining, Vanaspati production, and strategic real estate, instilling financial discipline and sales excellence across the organization.
