Aloo papad with purti rizola rice bran oil

Aloo Papad is a simple and crispy homemade snack made with potatoes and minimal spices. Sun-dried to perfection, these thin papads can be roasted or fried for a crunchy treat. Easy to prepare and store, this recipe is perfect for adding a flavorful, homemade touch to your everyday meals.

Fond of having papad with every meal? Then make your own homemade Papad with this easy recipe. To prepare this dish, you just need four ingredients- potato, red chilli flakes, salt and oil. You just need to mix the boiled potatoes with the other ingredients and then make papads with that mixture. The most important step is to spread out a thin sheet of aloo mixture and then dry it out completely.

You might need to keep the papad in sunlight for a few days. You can make a large batch of potatoes and then store them in an airtight for later usage. We have used minimal seasonings in it, however, you can add some spices of your choice to customize its taste. Do try this recipe, rate it and let us know how it turned out to be.

Ingredients of Aloo Papad
1) 3 large potato
2) 1 tablespoon rice bran oil
3) 1 tablespoon chilli flakes
4) salt as required

Instructions
Step 1 Boil and grate the potatoes Firstly boil the potatoes, let them cool down and peel them. Now grate the potatoes and collect them in a bowl. Step 2 Add the seasonings Add salt and chilli flakes to the boiled potatoes. Now drizzle oil and use a spoon to mix everything properly. Step 3 Prepare papad From the mixture, scoop out a ball and place it on a plastic sheet. Place another plastic sheet on top and use your hands to gently spread out the dough. Avoid using a rolling pin and only use your hands to prepare the papad. The papad sheet should be as thin as possible. Once spread out, gently remove the papad and place it on a tray. Make more such papad sheets and then keep them in the sunlight until they dry out completely. Step 4 Ready to be used Once the papads have dried completely, store them in airtight containers. You can roast the Aloo Papad or fry them as per your taste.

Tips: Add some seasonings like garlic powder, black pepper powder etc as per your taste.
